Cliff Edwards Classic:
A new season has begun for the Robson Hall Jets Hockey team. The historic Cliff Edwards Classic marks the first event of the year, taking place near the third week in September at the Max Bell Centre. The annual tournament pits current law students against alumni and other lawyers who work in the community. It poses a great opportunity to befriend fellow classmates and meet practicing lawyers in an informal and less stressful environment. Everyone is encouraged to play in this event, regardless of skill level. The fee is $25.00 per player, which covers the cost for a total of three ice times.
Cross-Border Challenge
This season, as with last year, the Robson Hall Jets anticipate attending the Cross-Border Classic at the University of North Dakota. The “CBC” is another annual tournament that has featured other western-Canadian law faculties, as well as other professional faculties at the University of Manitoba. The Cross-Border Challenge even attracts fans from Robson Hall, as many students have made the trip across the border to cheer on their classmates. It really is the highlight of the year.
